Dolgeville Annual Festival of Trees and Dinner Dance to be held December 5th at the Dolgeville Mill
October 29, 2009
DOLGEVILLE, NEW YORK — The Annual Festival of Trees Dinner and Dance will be held December 5, 2009 at the Dolgeville Mill on Main Street in Dolgeville. Sponsored by the Dolgeville Violet Festival Committee to benefit the 2010 Violet Festival, the Holiday Dinner Dance will feature live music for dancing by Cleen Street. The band blends “Classic” Rock n’ Roll with Rhythm & Blues and plays smash hits from the 60’s to the present.
Dinner will be ‘sit down style’ and will be handled by Brockett Bridge Catering, with Hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m. This year’s menu will feature tossed field greens with balsamic vinaigrette, fresh baked rolls with butter, rosemary roasted baby potatoes, green beans with amaretto butter, brie apple cranberry stuffed breast of chicken and assorted Holiday desserts.
Invitations for trees are now being sent out to organizations and business people. The fully decorated trees will be displayed during the weekends of December 5th and 6th and Dec 11th, 12th and 13th. Trees four feet and smaller must be on a skirted table, and set up dates are November 28th through December 3rd. The opening ceremony will be at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th, with the Boys and Girls Chorus singing Christmas Carols. Think of a great way to decorate your tree with lights and all the glitter of the holidays and make it one that says Merry Christmas to all!
Tickets for the event are $30.00 per person and available from Violet Festival Committee members. For more information and tickets, please contact Esther at 315-429-9871, Donna at 315-429-8210 or Doug at 315-429-3569.
